Now, refrigeration doors can close automatically without any staff intervention, leading to:
- up to a 25% reduction in energy costs, depending on frequency of door openings and the temperature in the facility
- decreased risk of product spoilage inside the chamber
- reduced likelihood of ice buildup on the seals
According to research, refrigerating chamber in a restaurant is typically opened 100-300 times a day during meal preparation. If the door is left slightly open, the temperature inside the chamber can rise by 5-7°C every minute, depending on the temperature in the room. This can increase the compressor load by up to 20%. The automatic closer will help save energy and money by closing the door automatically in just 3 seconds.
The automatic closer is compatible with all PH Insulation’s hinged doors, including half-hidden, threshold, and non-threshold models.
